As part of ongoing efforts to reduce traffic congestion and promote orderly parking across the State, the Monitoring and Enforcement Team of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has extended its parking enforcement to the Apapa axis.

Speaking on the Authority’s efforts to ensure proper parking, the General Manager of LASPA, Mrs Adebisi Adelabu, noted that the team recently conducted operations to clear illegal parking on Akintoye Road, near the Ajeromi General Hospital in Apapa.

Adelabu disclosed that the enforcement targeted vehicles in designated “No Parking” zones. She explained that the operation followed an extensive public enlightenment campaign and the installation of road signage along the Akintoye Road corridor.

LASPA MD noted that the operation was carried out peacefully and professionally in accordance with standard procedures without disruption of public order. She emphasised that vehicles found in violation of the parking regulations were attended to with towing where necessary.

Adelabu also observed that one of the Authority’s “No Parking” signs installed along the corridor was missing. She warned against the vandalism of public infrastructure, stating that perpetrators would face the full wrath of the law when caught.

The General Manager of the Parking Authority urges motorists to comply with all parking regulations, observe traffic signages, utilise only designated parking facilities, and always cooperate with LASPA enforcement officers.
