Mercedes-Benz Group Delivered 2.4 Million Cars In 2023, Mercedes-Maybach Sales Rose By 19%
Mercedes-Benz Group sold 2,491,600 (+1.5 percent) vehicles between January and December of 2023, thanks to strong demand.
Sales of passenger cars rose to 2,043,800 units while Mercedes Vans increased by 8 percent to 447,800 units worldwide.
Combined sales of top-end vehicles such as Mercedes-Maybach (+19%), G-Class (+11%) and Mercedes-AMG (+4%) rose to 328,200.
The Mercedes-Benz Group (former Daimler AG) said it sold 2,491,600 (+1.5%) vehicles between January and December of 2023, including 2,043,800 cars, thanks to its focus on desirable cars and vans as well as on the electrification of its fleet.
Sales of fully electric Mercedes-Benz passenger car rose by 73 percent to 222,600 units worldwide in 2023, equivalent to 11% of overall sales, while sales of the EQE Sedan surged by 120% globally.
Last year, combined sales of top-end vehicles such as Mercedes-Maybach (+19%), G-Class (+11%) and Mercedes-AMG (+4%) rose to 328,200 while additional 60,000 V-class and EQV models were sold in 2023.

“Sales in 2023 show that Top-End Vehicles including Mercedes-Maybach, G-Class and Mercedes-AMG delivered their best-ever performance. Electric vehicle sales continue to rise and particularly the new E-Class is being well received.
“This year we will maintain our product momentum especially thanks to the electric G-Class, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé and our new eSprinter,” says, Ola Källenius, the Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
Sales of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV remained strong and increased by 11% in 2023 ahead of the introduction of the electric G this year while the flagship S-Class remains the undisputed leader in its segment.
In addition, sales of Mercedes-Benz Vans increased in 2023 by 8 percent to 447,800 units worldwide, including a total sales of 237,400 large, 178,900 mid-size and 31,500 small vans.
“We were able to increase sales and thus reached our best full-year result so far with 448,000 units sold worldwide and electric van sales up more than 50%. This growth was especially driven by the commercial segments, representing approximately 85% of the overall sales.” said, Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans Sales & Marketing.
Following its rebranding in February 2022, the Mercedes-Benz Group AG now focus on cars and vans of the brands Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach and the Mercedes-EQS (Battery Electric Vehicles).
