Mercedes-Benz Teases Facelifted G-Class And G63 Ahead Of Reveal - autojosh

Mercedes-Benz teases facelifted G-Class (G500) and the high-performance Mercedes-AMG G63 model ahead of reveal.

The facelifted 2025 models of the G-Class will retain the iconic boxy design, as seen in the teaser shared.

Updated models will borrow design cues from the all-electric EQG that will bring “a tremendous reduction in fuel consumption”.

Stuttgart-based Mercedes-Benz has shared a teaser photo and video of the facelifted 2025 G-Class (G500) along with its high-performance variant, the Mercedes-AMG G63, ahead of imminent reveal.





“The wait is almost over. Get ready to meet one of the new G-Class family members: The all-new G 500,” Mercedes said in its caption, while a video showing off the details of the G63 reads :

“The Rise of Thrill. Get ready to meet: the all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63.

As expected, the facelifted 2024 models of the G-Class will retain the iconic boxy design, as seen in the teaser posted to Mercedes Twitter page. But the updated models will borrow design cues from the upcoming all-electric EQG.





This aerodynamic enhancements on the upcoming ICE-powered G-Class will bring “a tremendous reduction in fuel consumption” while the EQG variant will get an improve electric range.

“When you really go into the details of the car, we have changed things. Most customers won’t see it, even if they stand in front of the car, but the change in some cases had a really dramatic improvement to the aerodynamics,” Dr. Emerich Schiller, Head of the G-Class business unit, earlier told Autocar.

While the facelifted ICE-powered variants of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is expected to arrive this year as a 2025 model year SUV, the electric variant, the EQG, also set to debut next, is expected to steal the headlines.
