Mercedes Vision AVTR Driving In Convoy For Premiere Of New Avatar Movie, The Way of Water
Avatar-inspired Mercedes Vision AVTR driving in convoy of Mercedes cars for the premier of new Avatar movie, The Way of Water.
The concept car, first unveiled at the 2020 CES, has aesthetic inspired by several creatures from the 2009 movie AVATAR.
The AVTR has joystick in place of conventional steering-wheel, while the seats are made from vegan DINAMICA leather.
AVTR has a range of 435 miles (700 kilometres). It car can drive sideways by approx. 30 degrees, thanks to its balloon tyres.
Despite its name, the Mercedes Vision AVTR will not feature in James Cameron’s new movie, the Avatar : The Way of Water.
Mercedes-Benz has allowed select journalists to take the unique-looking Mercedes Vision AVTR for a spin to help promote James Cameron’s new Sci-Fi movie, Avatar : the Way of Water, which opens in theaters on December 16th, 2022.
A video shared by Mercedes-Benz also showed the futuristic Vision AVTR Concept car cruising around on the Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, USA, while on its way to the Avatar film premiere in Los Angeles.
In the video shot this week, the all-electric Vision AVTR, whose acronym stands for Advance Vision Transportation, turned heads as it drove in a convoy of Mercedes-Benz cars.

First unveiled at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the futuristic electric car has aesthetic inspired by several creatures from the 2009 movie AVATAR. It was co-created by Mercedes-Benz and James Cameron’s creative team.
Inside, the AVTR has joystick in place of conventional steering-wheel, while the seats are made from vegan DINAMICA leather. The floor is decorated with an innovative wood called Karuun.
The futuristic concept car has a range of roughly 435 miles (700 kilometres). In addition, the car can drive sideways by approx. 30 degrees, thanks to its balloon tyres. It can be driven from either one of the two deep bucket seats.
