The FRSC vows to continue to arrest and sanction motorists jumping red light signal.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Mohammed Jammal, born in the city of Jos in Northern Nigeria, praised FRSC for their use of technology. “Today, I got stopped by Road Safety for beating a “traffic light” but after their Control Center checked they confirmed I didn’t beat the traffic light. It reminded me of VAR. Very proud of @FRSCNigeria and their use of technology. They have live updates from the control room. ?”, Jammal tweeted.
FRSC has vowed to continue to arrest and sanction motorists jumping red light signal, lamenting that the traffic offence was taking a worrisome dimension.
Autojosh can’t say if it has been approved, but the former FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, had proposed to the Joint Tax Board that the traffic light violation fine should be increased from N4,000 to N50,000 to deter erring motorists.
