A newly-hired driving instructor has been fired after crashing their (gender not specified) personal Hyundai Tucson into a community driving school while pulling up for a in-class training session.

The owner of Community Driving School, Steve Roman, told Denver7 that it was the driver’s second day on the job. He noted that the driver was in their personal vehicle at the time of the crash.

The business owner, who emphasized that the safety of students and instructors is “paramount”, said the driver is no longer employed at Community Driving School.

Fortunately, there was only one minor injury, according to Lakewood Police Department:

“Thankfully there was only one minor injury. Several people were able to dive out of harms way. The driver, an instructor at the business, was cited for a traffic violation.”, Lakewood Police Department X post reads.
