Nigerian EV Maker, JET Motors pays courtesy visit to National Automotive Design and Development Council.

During the courtesy visit on June 1st, the team discussed further areas of growth and collaboration with the NADDC.

They also looked at the hybrid EV Charger Station set up by the Council at its headquarters in Abuja.





Nigerian Electric Vehicle Maker, Jet Motors Company, led by the CEO, Joseph Osanipin, on June 1st 2023 paid a courtesy visit to the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).

During the visit, Mr Osanipin expressed his excitement to be part of the NADDC Electric Vehicles Project, which is a Pilot Program made up of company’s Jet Mover Electric Van and a number of EV Charging Stations across the country.

The Director General, Mr Jelani Aliyu, commended Jet Motors for its incredible innovation and for being one of the foremost companies in the Nigerian Electric Vehicle space.

The team discussed further areas of growth and collaboration with the NADDC, and looked at the EV Charger Station set up by the Council at its headquarters in Abuja, which powers the Electric Van with the Jet Motors Fast Charger.

The station, which is hybrid, is powered by solar and the grid and acts as a base for monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the integrated solar system, the fast charger and the electric vehicles deployed from there.





Aliyu assured that the Council will continue to strongly support Jet Motors and other Electric Vehicle (EV) producers in the country through supportive policies, technical intervention and in promoting public awareness in the advantages of zero emission transportation for enhanced marketability.

The NADDC boss further revealed that the automotive sector in Nigeria is about to go through a dynamic paradym shift that would positively affect hundreds of millions of lives and the environment.
