Official : Bugatti Chiron Successor Will Arrive In June With Hybrid V16 Engine
Official : Bugatti says that the Chiron successor will arrive this june with new Hybrid V16 engine.
Hybrid V16 will replace its flagship quad-turbo W16, which has powered its hypercars right from Veyron to Chiron.
Following the announcement, Bugatti-Rimac CEO Mate Rimac also revealed some internals of early prototype V16 engines.
Bugatti on Thursday announced that the Chiron successor will arrived with a new V16 hybrid powertrain to replace its flagship quad-turbo W16 engine, which has powered its hypercars right from the Veyron 16.4 to the outgoing Chiron.
“It is eight years to the day since the CHIRON was revealed to the world. Now, BUGATTI prepares for a new age.
“In June, the Molsheim marque will welcome its latest evolution; a new automotive pinnacle with a V16 hybrid powertrain at its heart.”
“Incomparable in every detail, it is a pure embodiment of Bugatti’s DNA, created not just for the present, or even the future – but “Pour l’éternité”.

Alongside the announcement, the French hypercar maker also released a short sound clip to tease what the new V16 hybrid powertrain will sound like.
Following the announcement, Bugatti-Rimac CEO Mate Rimac also took to social media to reveal some of the internals of early prototype V16 engines, including its block, crankshaft, and pistons.
According to Mate, the images shared aren’t CGI/renderings. He said that the pictures were taken in November 2022, at which point, Bugatti was already testing full engines on dynamos.
Bugatti is yet to give a teaser of the upcoming Chiron replacement, though Mate had given a first glimpse back in November 2023 during the company’s World Partner Meeting in Berlin.
