Ogun State Govt announces the establishment of cutting-edge Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refilling station in Obada Oko.

Says it will help facilitate efficient refuelling of its eco-friendly Compressed Natural Gas-powered buses.

Says transition to CNG buses will reduce harmful emissions, promote a healthier environment for the residents of Ogun State.

The Ogun State government has announced the establishment of a cutting-edge Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refilling station in the strategic location of Obada Oko to facilitate efficient refuelling of its eco-friendly CNG-powered buses.

While announcing the achievement, the Ogun State Dapo Abiodun said that his administration is working diligently to establish more CNG refuelling stations along the major routes and terminals.

“This station is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure effective gas supply for our compressed natural gas (CNG) buses in Ogun State, thereby reducing emissions and promoting a cleaner environment.

“In addition, I am pleased to inform you that our administration is committed to providing the necessary infrastructure across the state to support the operations of the CNG buses.

“Specifically, we are working diligently to establish gas refuelling stations along the major routes and terminals. These stations will be strategically located to ensure ease of access and convenience for both our passengers and bus operators.

He further revealed that the transition to eco-friendly CNG-powered buses will help reduce harmful emissions, thereby improving air quality and promoting a healthier environment for the residents of Ogun State.

“By implementing these measures, we aim to not only enhance the overall efficiency of our bus services but also contribute to a sustainable future by minimising the environmental impact of our operations.”
