London to Lagos Biker, Kunle Adeyanju, has finally arrives Nigeria after a 40 day, 12,000-km long journey.
Adeyanju began his historic ride on 19th of April, 2022 to raise N20 million for charity, which he later increased to N100 million.
He said that the money will be channelled to Primary Health, Water & Sanitation, PolioPlus project.
Kunle had earlier announced in a tweet that he will auction his Honda CB 500X motorbike, Eagle, for charity.
Kunle Adeyanju, a Nigerian adventurer on a cross-country bike ride from London to Lagos has finally arrived Nigeria after a 40 day, 12,000-km long journey.
The record-breaker on a Charity ride arrived Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday May 29th to cheers from the crowd and bike riders who had gathered in anticipation of his arrival.
Adeyanju began his historic ride on 19th of April, 2022 to raise N20 million (which he later increased to N100 million) for charity. He said that the money will be channelled to Primary Health, Water & Sanitation, PolioPlus project.
Kunle had earlier announced in a tweet after arriving in Mali that he will auction his Honda CB 500X motorbike, Eagle, for charity.
“By His grace when we get to Lagos…. I AM CONSIDERING PUTTING EAGLE ON AUCTION FOR CHARITY!”
In a follow up tweet, he said that he said the starting bid will be $25,000 (N10.4 million).
He wrote :
“Eagle will be going on auction post-arrival in Lagos…… starting bid $25,000. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Rotary Foundation toward ending polio”
Kunle’s Honda CB500X comes with 47 Horsepower, 471cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, that allows the bike to reach a top speed of 111.8 mph (180 km per hour).
It has a 17.5 liters fuel tank capacity that allows a 27.8 km ride per litre or a range of about 486-kilometers, depending on the riding style and weather conditions.
