Police detains Cubana Chief Priest over misuse of police escorts, weapons, as well as unexplained wealth.
The Instagram celebrity is known for posting pictures of himself in private jets and luxury cars on his Instagram page.
Executive Director, Cubana Group, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest; has been detained by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit.
According to reports, the Instagram celebrity, known for his lavish lifestyle, was invited to the Force headquarters annex, Lagos; for his alleged misuse of police escorts, weapons as well as unexplained wealth.
A top police source said that his arrest was on the order of the Inspector-General of Police.
The source said :
“We have detained Cubana Chief Priest and he is facing interrogation for misuse of police personnel as well as the illegal use of a weapon and his extravagant and unexplained lifestyle.”
Cubana Chief Priest, just like other popular Instagram celebrities, is known for posting pictures of himself in private jets and luxury cars to impress his fans on social media.
Cubana Chief Priest net worth is reportedly about $5 million (₦1.9 billion).
His arrest comes a barely a month after the Inspector-General of Police ordered the probe of Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money over his flamboyant lifestyle and flagrant abuse of police escort.
E-Money, who boasts car collection from brands like Rolls-Royce; Mercedes-Benz and Lexus worth over two billion Naira, is said to cruise around the town with six police escort.
