Pope Gets #80 Million Lamborghini As Gift, Will Auction For Charity
Pope Francis was given a Lamborghini Huracan today, but he is going to sell it for charity .
The Lamborghini Huracan matches his white outfit, but the Pope sees a more important use. He will not be cruising in this beast that accelerates at a mind blowing speed of 300km/h.
Proceeds will go to a Catholic charity seeking to return Christian exiles to Iraq, to another one helping victims of the sex trade in Italy and to two Italian charities that operate in Africa. Francis was given a specially prepared Huracan model, and the unusual gift was presented to the pope at the Vatican by the top management of Lamborghini, which is part of Germany’s Volkswagen Group.
This isn’t the first time the Pope is giving out such an awesome gift. In 2013 when he was given a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, it was sold a year later at auction in Paris for $327,000, despite retailing for around $13,000. The proceeds were also used for charity .
