Range Rover Gets Another SV Bespoke With Over 600 Hp And Other Improvements
Land Rover is bringing a host of updates to the Range Rover line for 2024, with a new 606-hp V-8-powered variant and upgrades to the plug-in-hybrid model. Range Rover is also launching a new customization service, called SV Bespoke, in a bid to emulate the profitable personalization programs from other high-end automakers such as Lamborghini’s Ad Personam, Bugatti’s Sur Mesure, and Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur.
The Range Rover SV Bespoke program includes 391 interior material choices and 230 paint colors. Land Rover said it would also offer a match-to-sample service, similar to the ultra-popular and expensive Porsche Paint to Sample (PTS). Buyers can even add 24-carat gold exterior badges and select custom embroidery and interior trim.
Land Rover said buyers could go wild with their customization choices and themes, but if the process is too overwhelming, the automaker offers a few templates to help get things started. The program is available at the company’s UK SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite, select dealers, and online. The SV Bespoke experience is a seven-step process that walks buyers through everything from colors to veneers, materials, themes, personalization, and more. It’s not offered for every Range Rover trim, however. Right now, the service is only available for SV and Autobiography SUVs.
As for the regular Range, it comes with the latest generation Pivi Pro infotainment system with a 13.1-inch floating glass touchscreen that even includes an Amazon Alexa voice AI assistant. Land Rover has also introduced a new Country Road Assist system that works as an Adaptive Cruise Control system but for smaller, country roads. A new Dynamic Response Pro system is also fitted and uses electric roll technology to reduce body lean when cornering.
Specifically, the 2024 Range Rover gains mild-hybrid tech for its 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, but the big news is a new 606-hp V8 option that’s exclusive to the Range Rover SV. The mill generates 553 pound-feet of torque, but if that’s all a bit too much for you, the 3.0-liter six-pot plug-in hybrid now makes 542 combined hp in 550e trim. That drops the PHEV’s 0-60 mph time to 4.8 seconds, or if you’re gentle with the throttle, you can travel 51 miles on electric power alone.
