Rolls-Royce Sold A Total Of 3,756 Motor Cars In 2020 — 26.4% Fewer Than In 2019
Rolls-Royce Motors sold a total of 3,756 motor cars in 2020, 26.4% fewer than in 2019.
This result was achieved despite the absence of the Rolls-Royce’s best-selling model, Ghost, from the market.
Rolls-Royce expects 2021 to be a record-breaking year as orders for new Ghost have filled well into second half of 2021.
BMW-owned Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sold a total of 3,756 luxury cars across more than 50 countries in 2020, which is 26.4% fewer than the record sales of 5,152 cars in 2019.
This result was achieved despite the absence of the Rolls-Royce’s best-selling model, Ghost, from the market. Rolls-Royce closed the order book in anticipation of the introduction of a new model which arrived late 2020.
According to Rolls-Royce, orders for the new Ghost model have resulted in a strong order book, filled well into the second half of 2021.
Customer demand remained strong across all models in 2020, including the Cullinan, Wraith, Dawn and the top-of-the-range Phantom.
According to the British automaker, almost every motor cars created for customers in 2020 was tailored by the Bespoke division. Rolls-Royce said it was the highest levels of Bespoke artistry per car it has ever seen in its entire history.
