British luxury marque, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has unveiled the limited-edition “Phantom Centenary Private Collection”, a collection of exclusive 25 bespoke Phantom cars to mark the legendary nameplate’s 100th anniversary.

Developed over three years, the Phantom VIII EWB-based cars is the most intricate and technologically ambitious Private Collection ever undertaken by Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Collective division at Goodwood, UK.

The Phantom Centenary Private Collection’s exterior is finished in a Bespoke two-tone paint, with the side body presented in Super Champagne Crystal over Arctic White, while the upper body in finished in Super Champagne Crystal over Black.

In addition, the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament – cast in solid 18-carat gold – is plated in 24-carat gold. For the first time, the ‘RR’ Badge of Honour – on the front, rear, and each side of the Phantom – is presented in 24-carat gold and white enamel.

Inside, it features 77 hand-sketched motifs, with each art work telling a part of the story of the history of the Phantom. But the headlining feature of the Phantom Centenary Private Collection is the printed fabric on the rear seats, which Rolls-Royce developed in partnership with a fashion atelier.

Inspired by the famed 1926 ‘Phantom of Love’, the complex artwork on rear the seats of the Phantom Centenary collection was developed over 12 months and completed with 160,000 stitches

“This uncompromising work of art uses the meticulously engineered Phantom VIII as the canvas to tell the story of Phantom’s remarkable life and the people who shaped it – from the visionaries within Rolls-Royce to the owners who helped create its legend,” said Chris Brownridge, CEO of Rolls-Royce.

While the base Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 EWB is priced from $550k, each of these 25 exclusive ‘Phantom Centenary Private Collection’ cost $3 million.
