The Aston Martin Valkyrie is more than just a hypercar; it’s essentially an F1 vehicle that managed to get a licence plate from the DMV. With a body that weighs less than your typical lunch order, wild aero, hybrid wizardry, and a screaming naturally aspirated V12, this vehicle was designed with speed in mind.

Rich Valkyrie owners have been almost pleading with Aston Martin to stop treating their vehicles like garage art and start driving them. However, it could be a good idea for seven unfortunate US customers to decline the next track day invitation.

Unfortunately, a recent recall targets a tiny club: just seven of 51 US 2024 Valkyries, all rocking the track suspension package, are in the crosshairs.

The primary problem is a brake master cylinder that can malfunction in an unusual set of track conditions. When you release the pedal, brake fluid does not return to the reservoir because a seal inside may warp if you push it too hard.

The brakes begin to drag and cook themselves as a result of the brake pressure becoming trapped in one corner. If you continue to pound the track, the area around the rear brake cooling duct may get hot enough to catch fire. Not really what you’re looking for in a hot lap.

The solution is straightforward: Aston Martin will replace the old master cylinders with new ones that are compatible with the Valkyrie’s electronics. You should anticipate receiving a call from Aston Martin instructing you to bring your vehicle in if you are one of the seven. Yes, the repair is free and takes roughly five hours.
