2024 World Bicycle Day : FRSC Boss Urges Nigerians To Embrace Cycling For Healthy Living, Transportation

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, on 3rd June, flagged-off the 2024 United Nations World Bicycle Day Commemoration with the theme ‘Cycling as a Tool for Urban Freedom’.

While addressing newsmen in Abuja to mark the 6th edition of the United Nations World Bicycle Day, the FRSC boss urged Nigerians to embrace cycling for healthy living and transportation.





“We hereby emphasise the use of bicycles as a panacea for promoting health, preventing disease, promoting tolerance with a sense of community, mutual understanding and respect and facilitating social inclusion”, he said.

Tunde Onakoya Wins Nord A7 SUV After Defeating Nord CEO In Chess Game, Becomes Car Brand’s Ambassador

Nigerian chess master, Tunde Onakoya, has landed an ambassadorial role with car brand, Nord Motion, after emerging victorious in a chess game with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Oluwatobi Ajayi.

Tunde disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Thursday. According to him, his victory over Oluwatobi Ajayi also won him a brand new Made-in-Nigeria Nord A7 SUV.

Oluwatobi Ajayi, the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nord Motion, also confirmed this on his X page with pictures Tunde and his latest car. Ajayi wrote :

“We are proud to announce @Tunde_OD as our global ambassador.

This is in alignment with our pursuit of excellence and vision to contribute to building a greater and more prosperous nation.”





FRSC Boss Says Efforts Are Ongoing To Tackle Number Plates Scarcity, Issuance Of Driver’s Licenses

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, says that adequate measures are being put in place to address the current scarcity of Vehicle Registration Plates (Numbers Plates) nationwide.

The FRSC boss also assured the general motoring public that the issues associated with the nationwide issuance of driver’s licences would also be addressed.

Muhammed said this on Thursday during his visit to Drivers License Capture Centres, Road Signage and Number Plates production plants as well as the Print Farm to ascertain the challenges confronting the workings of the production plants and capture centres.

During the visit, he assured the motoring public of his administration’s commitment towards the enhancement of quality service delivery on all FRSC products and services.

Soludo Adds Another Innoson SUV To His Official Car Fleet, Continues To Patronise Locally-made Products

Governor of Anambra State Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has added another made-in-nigeria Innoson luxury SUV to his official car fleet as he continues to patronise locally-made products and services.

Soludo made this known in a video posted to his official Facebook page, where the customized Innoson luxury SUV was his choice of car for a recent outing.

“A good ride home in the Pride of African Road — Innoson Vehicles… We will continue to Market Everything Made in Anambra,” he wrote in the caption.

The Innoson mid-sized SUV joins the flagship Mercedes-Benz G-Class-inspired Innoson IVM G80 SUV, which was also part of the convoy seen in the footage shared by Soludo.
