Stellantis Debunks Selling Any Of Its Current Brands

Stellantis says it has no plans to sell any of its current brands, the company said in response to a great-grandson of Chrysler’s founder.
Stellantis has a huge range of car brands, but not every brand is equally prominently represented or does equally well in sales. Earlier this year, there were already rumours that Stellantis would rather be rid of Maserati, for example. Stellantis denied this itself not long after. Last week, there was again some commotion surrounding one of Stellantis’ brands; Chrysler. A great-grandson of Chrysler founder Walter P. Chrysler shared a heartfelt cry about Chrysler and stated that the brand must be saved from Stellantis. According to him, it is in danger of being forgotten. According to him, Dodge would also be better off without Stellantis.
The mega-concern does not let Rhodes’ statements pass it by and responds in a short official statement. In it, it ‘confirms the interest in its North American brands’ and emphasizes that it is ‘committed to its entire portfolio of fourteen strong and iconic brands’. Stellantis emphasizes that it is working with all brands on a long-term vision. Each brand has ten years to become profitable and future-proof. “Just like Jeep and Ram, Chrysler and Dodge are at the forefront of Stellantis’ transformation to clean mobility.” Finally, Stellantis states once again that it has no plans to sell any of its brands.
