The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arrested 14 suspected fraudsters. Suspected Fraudsters
They were arrested in Awka, Anambra State. Operatives of the Enugu State zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) made the arrest.
The suspects who are between the ages of 21 – 28 years. They were nabbed at Okpuno Awka, Agu Awka and Ngozika Estate on Monday August 31.
Three Mercedes Benz 4matic, three Mercedes Benz AMG and two Lexus Rx salon cars were recovered from the suspects.
Dele Oyewale, EFCC Head of Media, said in a statement:
“Interim analyses of some of the suspects’ phones indicated they were involved in some suspected internet fraud which, include online bitcoin scam, love scam and identity theft.”
He also said that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
