The Black Badge, the highly successful alter ego of Rolls-Royce cars, turns 10 in 2026,following its debut in 2016.
Black Badge aimed at a younger, “nouvre rich” clientele who prefer driving themselves, rather than being driven.
First debuted with Wraith and Ghost in 2016, followed by Dawn in 2017, Cullinan in 2019, and then in the Spectre in 2025.
Black Badge models gets uprated V12 engines as well as black-trimmed Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and grille.
Rolls-Royce is marking 10 years of Black Badge, the highly successful alter ego of Rolls-Royce cars aimed at a younger, “nouvre rich” clientele who prefer driving themselves, rather than being driven.
The Black Badge first debuted debuted with Wraith Coupe and Ghost sedan in 2016, followed by Black Badge Dawn Convertible in 2017 and Black Badge Cullinan SUV in 2019, and then in the Black Badge Spectre Coupe in 2025.
In addition to their uprated V12 engines with enhanced power and torque, all Black Badge models comes with black exterior touches, including black-trimmed Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and vertical metal grille as well as an Infinity (∞) symbol inside.
“From the outset, Black Badge was created to welcome a new generation of clients into Rolls-Royce: individuals who express their success unapologetically and with conviction,” said Chris Brown ridge, Rolls-Royce CEO.
“By serving them with the care and precision that defines the wider Rolls-Royce experience, we have made the marque relevant to many clients who may never have previously considered it,” Rolls-Royce CEO added.
Notable examples of these landmark private collections and private commissions include Black Badge Adamas (2018), Black Badge ‘Neon Nights’ paint trilogy (2020) and Black Badge Landspeed (2021).
Other notable Black Badge commissions include the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow (2023), Black Badge Cullinan ‘Blue Shadow’ (2023), Black Badge Ghost Ékleipsis (2023) and Black Badge Ghost Gamer (2025).
The current Black Badge portfolio includes the Black Badge Spectre EV, Black Badge Ghost and Black Badge Cullinan, following the discontinuation of the highly successful Wraith Coupe and Dawn Convertible in 2023.
