The Departing CEO Of Stellantis Gets A Sizable Payment

Carlos Tavares, the former CEO of Stellantis, may be sitting back and relaxing. The CEO, who left at the end of last year, is not short of money. His latest income at Stellantis is also generous.
Carlos Tavares has certainly worked hard and, in addition to much criticism, has also often received praise for his leadership at Stellantis. It will, therefore come as no surprise that he has received a pretty penny for his work. However, there has been some discussion on several occasions about exactly how much he received. For example, even the French president got involved in 2022 when it emerged that Tavares received no less than 17 million euros in bonuses in 2021. Macron found that ‘ shocking and excessive’. He can now brace himself again.
According to Reuters, Tavares has received another very generous payment for 2024. This time it would involve 10 million euros in bonus money and 2 million euros in severance pay. The medium concludes this from new financial figures from Stellantis. And we are not there yet because Tavares is said to have already received 23 million euros in salary. These 12 million seem to be on top of that. Given his age and his therefore generously filled bank account, the 66-year-old is probably well on his way to a quiet existence outside the car industry. And hey, who can blame him?
