The Richest Driver In Formula 1 History Is Still Michael Schumacher
Michael Schumacher, who has been inactive for 12 years, is still the richest Formula 1 driver in history, the renowned portal “Racingnews365” announced.
Schumacher’s fortune is estimated at 671 million euros. The seven-time world champion and one of the best Formula 1 drivers of all time had a skiing accident in France on December 29, 2013, when he suffered serious injuries from which he has not recovered to this day.
During his career, which lasted from 1991 to 2006 and from 2010 to 2012, Schumacher achieved as many as 91 victories in Formula 1 races. In terms of wealth, the seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is also behind Schumacher. The wealth of the Briton is estimated at 258 million euros.
Followed by two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, whose wealth is estimated at 224 million euros. The wealth of Kimi Raikkonen, world champion from 2007, is estimated at 216 million euros, while the fifth on the list is triple world champion Niki Lauda, whose wealth at the time of his death in 2019 was estimated at 172 million euros.
