Verstappen: I Will Remain At Red Bull Till My Contract Expires
Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has said he is not thinking about changing teams and intends to stay at Red Bull until his contract expires in 2028.
In an interview with the Swiss “Bilk,” Verstappen pointed out that he will not change the team and that he will miss his former mentor, Helmut Marko.
“I am 28 years old, and I have a contract until the end of 2028. I want to fulfill it. At this stage, I completely reject the possibility of changing the team. It is a pity that I will not have Helmut by my side. I will miss him,” said Verstappen.
He also added that he is proud of the team because of the great end of the season, in which they were still without a title.
“I’m proud because no one believed we could come back after everything that happened in the team. Before the last sprint, I was 104 points behind the leader,” said Verstappen.
The Dutchman finished the season second overall, just two points behind Lando Norris.
