Hyundai Is Recalling 40,000 Inster EVs Worldwide
Hyundai is recalling 40,000 units of the Inster small electric car worldwide due to the risk that a short circuit could cause the vehicle to overheat.
The recall applies to vehicles manufactured between February 14, 2024 and April 14, 2026. The cause of the problem is a central thermal management control valve that can fail over time. If the valve stops working completely, the vehicle’s cooling system becomes less efficient.
In rare cases, insufficient cooling can cause overheating of certain components, their melting, the development of smoke, and even the outbreak of fire.
