During her first visit to Nigeria on February 27, 1956, Elizabeth II spent a lot of her stay in the northern part of the country.

She was chauffeured around in a 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith belonging to the then-Emir of Kano, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi I.

Currently, it is finished in White-Green colour, and wears a customised plate number “Amir Kano”, which means Emir of Kano.

Another school of thought belief that the 1952 Rolls-Royce was borrowed from Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Originally owned by an Armenian-British millionaire Nubar Gulbenkian, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith was purchased by Abdullahi Bayero, and after his death, it was handed down to the new Emir Of Kano, Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi I.

Currently, the Rolls-Royce is finish in the Nigerian Green-White-Green colour, and wears a customised plate number “Amir Kano” ( which means Emir of Kano) – as seen in the lone picture taken by REUTERS’ Afolabi Sotunde.

However, another school of thought belief that the Rolls-Royce was borrowed from Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, who was reported to be Nigeria’s first billionaire and the father of Chukwuemeka “Emeka” Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
