Footage shared shows herd of camels crossing a motorway near Salalah in the green Dhofar region of Oman – bringing traffic to a standstill.

While camels crossing highways is an everyday sight in Oman, these motorists would definitely breathe a sigh of relief when these uninvited guests – the herd of camels – finally crosses the highway.

To reduce camel-related road accidents in the oil-rich Sultanate of Oman, police warned that owners must fit luminous straps onto the backs of their animals when they are outside.
