To mark the occasion, the tyre manufacturer is looking back to when the collaboration (unofficial) between the two Italian companies started, which dates back to 1963.
Their relationship started when Ferruccio Lamborghini asked Pirelli to equip the first vehicle to come out of his newly founded car-manufacturing firm, the Lamborghini 350 GTV.
Since then, Pirelli has provided tyres for several Lamborghini models, including the Miura, the original Countach, the famous LM002 truck, the Urus as well as the the new Countach.
A special Pirelli P Zero was created for the 1990 Lamborghini Diablo, while the 2001 Murcielago and 2003 Gallardo rode on a tailor-made P Zero Rosso rubber.
To celebrate this collaboration that has lasted more than half a century, Lamborghini also created a very special version of the Aventador, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.
The Lamborghini range continues to expand right up to the present day, with Pirelli carrying on its mission to create dedicated tyres for the marque : from the Scorpion for the Urus SUV, to the P Zero and P Zero Corsa for the coupé, spyder and roadster models.
