Back in the 90s, a 100-foot long stretched Limousine built out of a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado by famed car customizer Jay Ohrberg was officially named the world’s longest car by the Guinness Book of World Records.

This one of a kind Limo, called “The American Dream”, was specially designed to be used in Hollywood films and displays. It boast a whopping 26 wheels and two separate driver’s cabins, and will drive as a rigid vehicle as well as change to bend in the middle.

But the length isn’t what makes “The American Dream” stands out from the crowd as it is also outfitted with one of the most outrageous amenities you will ever find in a car.

In addition to the luxury interiors, the stretched limo boasts of swimming pool with diving board, a king-sized water bed, a Jacuzzi as well as a landing pad for helicopter.

Due to one reason or another, “The American Dream” will later rot away in a New Jersey warehouse after being left abandoned for several years.

It was later acquired by New York’s Automotive Teaching Museum (Autoseum) in 2014, whose plans was to restore it to its original glory.

But those plans didn’t materialized amid county politics and budgetary changes, according to Mike Manning, director and president of Autoseum.

With lack of funding to restore it to its old glory, Autoseum resold it to Mike Dezer, owner of the Dezerland Park car museum and tourist attraction in Orlando, Florida.

Dezer is currently is using the expertise of Autoseum to restore “The American Dream”, a nearly done refurbishing efforts that began since 2019. According to the Dezerland website, the exterior restoration work is complete.

The world’s longest car “The American Dream” will be repainted and finished before the year runs out if things go as planned.
