Chinese premium brand Zeekr is expanding into the global market, and its luxury SUV 9X is soon coming to Europe.
As announced by Geely Auto Group CEO Gan Jiayue, exports of this model will begin in June 2026, first to the Middle East, then to Central Asia, while arrival on the European market is expected at the end of the year.
This is one of the most technologically advanced SUVs that Geely has introduced so far, and it is already attracting strong interest in the domestic market.
The Zeekr 9X belongs to the large SUVs and is sold in China at a price of more than 64,000 euros, while the average transaction price reaches approximately 68,000 euros.
The model was launched in September 2025, and more than 50,000 units have already been delivered. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, around 22,000 vehicles were delivered to customers, confirming strong demand.
The biggest highlight is under the hood. The Zeekr 9X uses a plug-in hybrid system with three electric motors and a turbocharged gasoline engine, which together develop as much as 1,030 kW of power. The total range according to the Chinese CLTC cycle is about 1,250 kilometers.
In addition to the 9X, Zeekr is also planning a global expansion of the 8X, which should reach markets outside of China in late 2026 and early 2027. This is an even more powerful model, also with three electric motors, which develops around 1,381 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds. Its price ranges between approximately 48,000 and 57,000 euros, depending on the version.
The expansion of Zeekr is part of Geely’s broader strategy to significantly increase exports. The target for 2026 is 640,000 vehicles sold in international markets, with Zeekr playing a key role in the premium segment. In addition to Europe, the 9X has already been confirmed for other markets, including Australia, where it is expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
The data also shows the growth of the brand itself. Zeekr sold almost 60,000 vehicles in China in the first quarter of 2026, an increase of more than 48 percent compared to the previous year.
The arrival of the 9X in Europe could further intensify competition in the luxury SUV segment, given its combination of power, range and price.
