Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan will cost as much as Rolls-Royce Ghost or Bentley Flying Spur in terms of customization.

Insiders told WSJ that the EV will start at around $300,000, adding that optional extras could push the price “well beyond”.

The limited-edition Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan is set to debut during Monterey Car Week in August.

Cadillac plans to hand-build just 500 examples, starting next year, while sales will begin in 2025.





When it arrives, Celestiq will be Cadillac’s second EV after the Lyriq as well as the most expensive electric vehicle in the market.

Priced from $150,000, the Escalade-V will be the most expensive Cadillac on the road for few years until the brands upcoming all-electric Celestiq arrives in the market in 2025.

GM is yet to announce the pricing of the Celestiq, but company insiders told The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that the Cadillac Celestiq will start at around $300,000, adding that optional extras could push the price “well beyond” this mark.

WSJ reports that “people familiar with the matter” said the Celestiq will likely rival the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost in terms of customization, both of which retails for around $220,000 and $350,000 respectively.

While Cadillac would not confirm the eye-popping price tag, a representative for the Detroit marque told Robb Report that the company will share more details later this year.





“At this time, we do not have any comment regarding Celestiq pricing,”

“We look forward to sharing more later this year.”

The limited-edition Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan is set to debut during Monterey Car Week in August. Cadillac plans to hand-build just 500 examples at GM’s Global Technical Center, starting next year, while sales will begin in 2025.

When it arrives, the Celestiq sedan will be Cadillac’s second EV after the Lyriq SUV as well as the most expensive electric vehicle in the market.
