8 Things You Need To Know About The 2023 Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase
Here are eight (8) things you need to know about the 2023 Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB).
British luxury marque Bentley Motors in May revealed a new version of the Bentayga in the form of 2023 Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, extending the latest product range to five models.
The new luxury flagship builds on the strengths of the Bentayga by adding more space between the front and rear axles to create “Bentley’s next sector-defining grand tourer.”
Here are eight (8) things you need to know about the 2023 Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase.
1) Wheelbase
The Bentley Bentayga EWB’s wheelbase was extended to 125 inches (3,175 mm), from 117.91 inches (2,995 mm), to give an overall length of 209.52 inches (5,322mm).
All of the extra length – seven inches (180 mm) – is added to the rear passenger compartment to create more space that Bentley says is longer than any rival, including the Rolls-Royce Cullinan by over 40 mm.
2) Seating
It come with new 4+1 seating configuration for three occupants dubbed ‘the most advanced seat ever fitted to a car’, boasting 22-way adjustment, controlled using a compact touch screen remote device.
Other optional configurations allow for four or five occupants, with the four-seat specification featuring a centre console in the front and the rear.
3) Multimedia
Inside, it has My Bentley connected services, including a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wired and wireless), Satellite maps, Real-time traffic information and Online radio.
Optional features include the Bentley Rear Entertainment system, which lets passengers stream content from mobile devices to 10.1” touchscreens on the seatbacks.
4) Bentley Dynamic Ride and All-Wheel Steering
All Bentayga EWB models feature both Bentley Dynamic Ride and All-Wheel Steering. While the Bentley Dynamic Ride improves cabin comfort when cornering, the All-wheel steering maximize manoeuvrability at low speeds, and stability when changing lane or overtaking at higher speeds.
5) Engine
Powering the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase SUV is the brand’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, generating 542 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque.
Power generated is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
6) 0-60mph
Bentley’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 can propel the Bentayga EWB from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 180 mph.
In comparison, the Bentayga Speed is capable of 190mph top speed and 0-60mph in a 3.8-second, making it the fastest version of Bentley’s SUV.
7) Pricing
Deliveries of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase will begin in the last quarter (Q4) of 2022, with pricing still to be confirmed.
But the Bentayga Speed, the fastest and most expensive version of Bentley’s best-seller, has a starting price of $247,725.
8) Competitors
Being an Extended Wheelbase version of the Bentayga, the new ultra-luxury Bentley flagship SUV will go head-to-head with British-made rivals like the new Range Rover SV Autobiography and Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge.
