Ford Edge Now Comes With A Massive Touchscreen For 2021(Photos)

Ford has upgraded one of its best selling SUV the Edge for 2021 with a massive touchscreen and more features. Although no physical upgrade on the exterior, the new massive touchscreen is the highlight of the 2021 refresh. It is now similar to the one seen in the larger Explorer SUV and with all Ford vehicles, it will soon reach the Nigeria market via Coscharis Motors.
Most of the upgrades on the 2021 Edge are mostly on the safety and infotainment department. We will begin with the new safety features as the 2021 Edge now comes with Co-Pilot360 driver-assistance. The latest touchscreen (12-inches) now features Ford’s new SYNC 4A infotainment system which replaces the previous set up. This system comes with the latest built-in navigation with cloud connectivity. In addition to that, the conversational voice recognition, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are now fitted.
According to Ford, the new 12-inch screen enables multi-tasking, allowing drivers to split the screen into larger and smaller windows. This enables customers to change songs without leaving the navigation map. The 2021 Edge’s cabin gains two more USB ports, bringing the total to four. One of the new plugs supports USB-C. New interior choices include a Ceramic colour for the Titanium Elite grade and Cloth for the SEL.
The engine still remains the same as the 2021 Ford Edge uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder producing 250hp and 275 lb-ft. A 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 335hp and 380 lb-ft of torque is optional with both engines available in an 8-speed automatic transmission with an intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system.
