Covid 19 : FG Begins Payment Of N30,000 Grants For Okada, Bus, Taxi And Uber Drivers, Cart Pushers _ autojosh

FG has commenced payment of N30,000 one-time grants for keke napep, okada, bus, taxi and uber drivers, cart pushers, others.

The Transport Track targets 4,505 beneficiaries in each state across the country.

The Federal Government (FG) has commenced the payment of N30,000 one-time grants to Nigerians operating in the transport business across the country.





Beneficiaries includes taxi and bus drivers; operators of commercial motorcycles and tricycles, popularly called okada and Keke Napep; Uber and Bolt drivers; as well as cart pushers.

The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this on its verified Twitter account on Sunday evening.

According to Bashir Ahmad, the development is in furtherance of FG’s commitment to supporting small businesses to cushion the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He tweeted :

“The Federal Government has commenced N30,000 grants for taxi; bus; okada; Keke Napep; Uber; Bolt drivers and cart pushers across the country. This is in furtherance of its commitment to support small businesses to cushion the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The Transport Track targets 4,505 beneficiaries in each state across the country to help overcome challenges of COVID-19 pandemic.

The commencement of “Transport Track” comes six weeks after the Federal Government began the disbursement of N30,000 one-time grant to artisans across the country.
