Audi F1’s Drivers Test Drove 1,001-hp Nuvolari Supercar Around The Monaco Grand Prix Circuit

Audi F1’s drivers test drove the new 1,001-hp Audi Nuvolari Supercar ahead Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco. 

Formula 1-inspired Audi Supercar packs 1,001 PS (987 horsepower) and a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h). 

Ahead of Sunday’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco, the drivers for the Audi Revolut F1 Team, Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, took a near-production prototype of the Audi Nuvolari for a spin around the winding Monaco Grand Prix circuit, following its presentation on the Côte d’Azur (French Riviera).

Named after the pre-war racing legend Tazio Nuvolari, the Formula 1-inspired Supercar packs 1,001 PS (987 horsepower) and a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h), making it Audi’s most powerful vehicle and the Four Ring’s fastest production vehicle ever.

“The Audi Nuvolari looks really cool and unique. For me, what truly counts is the overall package — that is, how the car feels, how precisely it responds, and how well performance and drivability complement each other. The Nuvolari really has a lot to offer,” Nico Hülkenberg said after the test drive.

Nuvalari’s hybrid powertrain combines a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with three (3) axial flux electric motors, allowing it to accelerate to 62 mph from rest in 2.6 seconds and on to a top-speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h).

“What stands out immediately is how clean and predictable the car feels on turn-in. There’s basically no understeer, which is impressive given the level of performance. The balance stays very neutral and precise, giving you the confidence to carry speed through the corners,” Hulkenberg said of the new Audi Nuvolari supercar.

Limited to just 499 units — making it a highly exclusive collector’s item — and priced from roughly $687,000 each, deliveries of the Audi Nuvolari supercar will begin in the first half of 2027.
