‘GR Corolla on Steroids’ : Toyota’s new “Toyota Gazoo Racing” (GR) brand introduces all-new track-bred 2027 GRMN Corolla.

Based on the 2026 GR Corolla, GRMN Corolla features exclusively developed aerodynamic performance parts for enhanced road holding.

Features front fenders, front side spoilers and rear wing crafted from Carbon-fiber and a bespoke monotube shocks at the front and rear.

Toyota’s new “Toyota Gazoo Racing” (GR) brand has revealed the all-new 2027 GRMN Corolla, a track-optimized GR Corolla engineered to deliver a confident, full-throttle experience on Germany’s Nürburgring racetrack.

The GR team developed the GRMN Corolla through intensive Nürburgring testing, in response to Toyota Chairman and Master Driver Akio Toyoda’s directive that “if it bears the GRMN name, it must be able to run the Nürburgring properly”.

Based on the 2026 GR Corolla launched last November, the GRMN Corolla features exclusively developed aerodynamic performance parts for enhanced road holding.

This includes front fenders, front side spoilers and rear wing crafted from Carbon-fiber and a bespoke monotube shocks at the front and rear “for improved inner-wheel traction during cornering and for enhanced high-speed cornering performance”.

In addition, the GRMN Corolla rides on 245/40ZR18 “Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2” high-grip tyres — 10 mm wider than those on the base vehicle — for enhanced cornering stability and braking performance.

Inside, the 2-seater GRMN Corolla is equipped with a custom-designed driver’s seat upholstered in black and red Brin Naub suede and synthetic leather, and a brush-metal instrument panel designed to enable the driver to focus more fully on driving.

Powering the GRMN Corolla is the same G16E-GTS, a 1.6-liter, in-line 3-cylinder turbocharged engine used in the standard GR Corolla, but with track-focused tuning. It produces 300 hp and a torque of 302 lb-ft (415 Nm in Japanese specs).

Toyota’s GR brand is yet to announce pricing for the GRMN Corolla, but it said the model will be available in limited quantities, primarily in home country of Japan as well as North America and Australia, with sales scheduled to begin in 2027.
