Lamborghini sold 7,430 vehicles worldwide in 2020, selling 775 fewer cars compared to 2019 despite 70-day factory lockdown.

In addition, Lamborghini celebrated the production of 10,000 Urus as well as the 10,000th unit of the Aventador in 2020. 

Volkswagen-owned Automobili Lamborghini sold 7,430 vehicles worldwide in 2020, which was a decline of nine percent compared to the record sales of 8,205 cars from 2019.





The supercar maker’s sales was affected by the impact of the global pandemic as well as its 70-day factory shutdown. Despite selling fewer cars compared to 2019 sales, Lamborghini was able to recorded its “best second half-year for deliveries-to-customers” in the company’s history.

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, said :

“The 2020 results are a clear demonstration of the excellent work that, despite the difficulties of a year of global challenges, was carried out by the entire Lamborghini team with enormous dedication and a spirit of resilience,”

Lamborghini’s sales in 2020 was boosted by its powerful 641-horsepower SUV that starts at $210,000. Of its 7,430 cars total sales, 4,391 went to the Urus SUV.

The Italian company sold 846 units of its most expensive and powerful model, the V-12 Aventador, while 2,193 units (+3%) of the V-10 Huracan were delivered to .

With 2,224 cars, the US remained Lamborghini’s largest market in 2020, followed by Germany with 607 cars. 604 cars were delivered to customers in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. Japan, UK and Italy had 600, 517 and 347 respectively.





Recall that in 2020, Lamborghini celebrated major milestones, including the production of 10,000 Urus as well as the 10,000th unit of the Aventador.
