Police Arrests 6 ‘One Chance’ Robbers, Recover Pistol
The FCT Police Command has arrested six suspects over ‘one chance’ robbery along Zuba and Lugbe axis of Abuja.
Spokesperson of the command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, who disclosed this in a statement, said two of the suspects, Ishmael Peter and Omeka Kadiru, were arrested by police detectives from Zuba Division on routine patrol when they attempted to dispossess their victim of her belongings.
According to her, the suspects who disguised themselves as commercial drivers confessed that they lured their unsuspecting victims (women) into their operational vehicle before carrying out their nefarious act.
She said exhibits recovered were a red Toyota Corolla with registration number BWA 782 BD, one fabricated beretta pistol, six rounds of live ammunition, one pair of pliers, one chisel, two ATM cards, one camouflage cap and vest, three different number plates, seven human hair-weaves, ten mobile phones, a bunch of keys, two pairs of female shoes, four female hand bags, a cash sum of N128,120.00), one invoice booklet, one lighter, six pieces of female clothes and other items.
She further said four other suspects whom she gave their names as ThankGod Abam, Gabriel Joshua, Emmanuel Joseph and Ekene Nwatu were arrested by the police operatives from Lugbe Division.

According to her, the suspects confessed to terrorising Lugbe axis using fraudulent means to dispossess unsuspecting residents of their possessions.
She said exhibits recovered from the suspects also included a red Toyota Corolla with a registration number BDG 648 EZ, six plasma TVs, jewellry and several household items.
She said the command also implored residents of the territory to report all suspicious movements through its emergency or any distress on phone numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
