Volvo XC90-based Lynk & Co 09 Flagship SUV Enters Market, Starts At $42,000

Lynk & Co 09 finally enters market – Volvo XC90-based three-row flagship SUV comes with upmarket design, 6 LCD screen. 

The 09, co-developed by Lynk & Co. and Volvo Cars, is a cheaper version of the XC90. It costs nearly half the price of XC90.

The SUV, seen by many as a poor man’s Volvo XC90, is available in three trim levels, including the Pro, Halo and the Ultra.

It is priced from $42,000, which is about half the price of the XC90, which starts at $100,000.

Automaker, Lynk & Co., and Swedish-based Volvo Cars are owned by Chinese Autogiant, Geely.

The Lynk & Co 09 is finally on the market, five months after the five-door mid-size luxury SUV from Chinese-Swedish automobile brand Lynk & Co. was unveiled on the 19 June 2021 in Shanghai.

The flagship 09 was developed in conjunction with Volvo Cars, with both companies being owned by Chinese Autogiant, Geely Automobile Holdings. The SUV shares the Volvo SPA platform used on the second generation Volvo XC90.

Seen by many as a poor man’s Volvo XC90 Sports Utility Vehicle, the all-new 2022 Lynk & Co. 09 is available in three trim levels, including Pro, Halo, and Ultra.

It is priced between 270,000-400,000 RMB ($42,000-$62,500), which is about half the price of the XC90, which retails for 638,900-781,900RMB ($100,000-$122,000).

Inside, all trims of the Lynk and Co. 09 features six LCD screens, including a 12-inch and 6-inch control panel screen, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch panel screen.

But the top of the trim configuration is equipped with 12-way power front seats, wireless smartphone charger, AR navigation, active noise reduction system, Nappa leather upholstery.

The package also offers Level 2 and Level 3 autonomous driving functions providing High-speed Automatic Lane Change, automatic parking, and low-speed congestion pilot function.

Like the Volvo XC90 it is based on, the 09 features 2.0-liter inline-4 engines in hybrid configurations. But buyers can choose between a mild-hybrid setup rated at 250 hp and a plug-in hybrid setup rated at 425 hp.
