Boxing Champ Tyson Fury trades in his Ferrari F12 for an electric Porsche Taycan, days after pocketing $32.9m.

This isn’t the first time that the now retired Boxing Champ will be selling a luxury car to buy a reasonable cheaper car.

Tyson had also parted ways with his six-figure Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 for a cheap 15 year old Mercedes S-Class.

Back in December 2020, Tyson Fury sold his Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV for a £500, 2006-model Volkswagen (VW) Passat.

Tyson Fury has splashed out a portion of his prize money on a new electric Porsche Taycan, days after pocketing a whopping $32.9 million in his lucrative fight against Dillian Whyte at the Wembley Station in London, UK.

The Gypsy King and his wife Paris were seen arriving at a dealership in his $313,000 gas-guzzling Ferrari F12 Sports Car that they later traded in for a more eco-friendly electric Porsche Taycan that carries a price tag of $173,000.

But this isn’t the first time that the now retired Heavy Weight Boxing Champion will be selling a luxury car to buy a reasonable cheaper car as he once sold his Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 for a cheaper 15 year old Mercedes S-Class.

Back in December 2020, Tyson Fury also sold his Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV for a £500, 2006-model Volkswagen (VW) Passat that remains his favorite car till today.

He once explained that cutting out all the trappings of wealth is part of his bid to combat depression.

“We have sold the big house and moved into a smaller home. I owned a Rolls Royce Phantom but I sold that too.

“Instead I paid £2,000 for a 15-year-old Mercedes S-Class which caught my eye online because of its old-fashioned half-wooden steering wheel. But all I really need is a car big enough for me to fit this big body into.”

“I used to love leading the flash life, like most red-blooded young men. No longer. I’m not interested in material possessions. Not any more. They mean nothing.”

“Once I stop fighting I will lead a quiet family life. It has to be stress-free because stress is a big part of depression and that’s one reason why I have simplified my life.”

“Having a million pounds in later life would not make me any happier than a fiver in my pocket.”
