Footage of his arrival was shared by indigenous automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.

He met Min. of Transportation, where he revealed plans to establish a boxing academy in Nigeria.

Last week, American boxer, Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. made a brief stopover in Nigeria to meet organizers of this week’s exhibition match in Dubai as well as boxing fans and journalists.

Floyd Mayweather’s customized private jet worth $60 million touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, in Abuja, on Sunday May 8th, 2022.

Footage of his arrival, captured by Sabiradio, was shared by indigenous automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, as one of his car models, the IVM Capa, was used to chauffeur the Money Man.

On its official Twitter page, Innoson tweeted :

The IVM Capa MPV comes in two variant : Standard and Executive. It is designed to provide comfort and strength needed to make your driving a wonderful experience.

It has a well suitable seating, in-built multimedia system and storage space you need for an up country journey.

Mayweather, who is making a comeback from retirement, also met Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence, where he revealed plans to establish a boxing academy in Africa, especially in Nigeria to build young fighters.

“The ultimate plan is to find the next Mayweather. I want to work with kids. I will come over to meet and talk to make sure we are all on the same page, and slowly start building these fighters. We just want to help,”

“It’s all about giving back, helping the youths and the young generation coming up. I want to build a boxing camp for the kids. Different American trainers will come over and work with them.

“There are so many talents in the sports world over there in the United States, and Africa is dominating in the US now. There are so many hidden talents, so many skills, so we want the world to see these skills.”
