Hongqi LS7 Flagship SUV Starts At $215,700 – The Most Expensive Chinese Car In The Market

Hongqi LS7 flagship SUV starts at 1,46 million yuan or $215,700 – the most expensive Chinese car on the market.
Comes with Hongqi’s distinctive large chrome radiator grille and an “illuminating” thin red flag logo.
Power comes from a 4.0 liter turbocharged V8 engine with an output of 360 horsepower.
LS7 is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100mph in 9.1 seconds, before topping out at 200 km/h.
Hongqi, the premium car brand of China’s First Auto Works (FAW) Group, has begun selling the flagship LS7 5-door full-size luxury SUV. It is designed to rival locally-made BAIC BJ90 and foreign full-size models like Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.
The Hongqi LS7 comes with the brand’s distinctive large chrome radiator grille and an “illuminating” thin red Hongqi’s flag logo that starts from the middle of the bonnet to the grille.
Inside, it is decked with elegant wood finishes, full LCD instrument clusters and a 12-inch head-up display (HUD). It is available with a luxurious four-seat interior with a solid rear sofa as well as with two separate captain’s chairs. All seats are heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable in several directions.
Sitting on a Wheelbase of 3309 mm, the imposing SUV is 5695 mm long, 2095 mm wide and 1985 mm high – making it one of the largest SUVs on the market. In comparison, the Cadillac Escalade ESV with a Wheelbase of 3406 mm is 5766 mm long, 1941 mm wide and 1985 mm high.
Under the hood of the Hongqi LS7 is a 4-liter V8 petrol turbo engine with 360 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. Hongqi LS7 is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100-mph in 9.1 seconds, before topping out at 124 mph (200 km/h).
At 1,46 million yuan or 215,700 USD, the four-seat LS7 is currently the most expensive Chinese car in the market. Hongqi says a six-seat version of the LS7 will join the lineup soon.
