Putin’s Aurus Senat L700 was first used for the short distance from his office to the Kremlin hall for the inauguration in 2018.
L700 boasts several distinct capabilities, including its ability to protect Putin even if submerged fully underwater.
It replaces Putin’s highly favored German-made Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard Pullman as the official state car.


A video showing Vladimir Putin’s massive presidential motorcade, including his Russian-made Aurus Senat L700 limousine, roaring through the streets of Moscow has amazed viewers.
The video starts with a clear road that has been closed for the motorcade. Before long, the motorcade, made up of 18 different vehicles with flashing lights, comes into view.

The Presidential Motorcades consists of Mercedes-Benz police cars, unmarked official cars, Aurus-branded sedans and vans and the most recognizable of them all, the Aurus Senat L700 limousine, which ferries the Russian president.
Putin’s Aurus Senat L700 limousine was first used for the short distance from his office to the Kremlin hall for the inauguration in 2018. It boasts several distinct capabilities, including its ability to protect Putin even if submerged fully underwater.



L700 replaces Putin’s highly favored German-made Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard Pullman as the official state car as Russia raced to reduce its dependence on Western goods and technology.
Vladimir Putin’s new bulletproof Aurus Senat L700 limousine, dubbed the Bunker-on-wheels, uses a hybrid powertrain with a 4.4-litre V8 engine, which was developed in collaboration with Porsche.
