Disaster avoided after loose wheel from 1959 Jaguar bounces into crowd at Goodwood Festival Of Speed.
No serous injuries were reported, according to a statement issued by The Goodwood Festival of Speed on Twitter.

A classic 1959 Jaguar Mark 1 driven by Grant Williams lost a wheel at high speed at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb on Thursday, bouncing into a crowd of people on the sidelines.
Footage shared shows the loose wheel from the Jaguar Mark 1 bouncing over the barriers and into the crowd before the camera cut away.

According to report, the loose wheel incident injured at least a spectator, who was taken away by ambulance to receive medical attention.

But luckily, no serous injuries were reported, according to a statement issued by The Goodwood Festival of Speed on Twitter, adding that racing will continue.
“Following the incident on the hillclimb, we’re pleased to confirm that there were no serious injuries, and those involved were able to go back to enjoying the event.”


Owner and driver, Grant, and this very same iconic Jaguar MK1 Jaguar he drove on at this famous motoring event are considered part of Goodwood’s history, according to South Downs Secure.
Grant Williams Jaguar Mk1, with licence plate BUY1, which he inherited from his dad, has taken the accolade for the most photographed car at Goodwood Festival Of Speed.
