Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro Breaks Cover At The Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Mercedes-AMG presented the newest member of the AMG GT family at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, namely the Mercedes-AMG GT63 PRO 4MATIC+, intended for car enthusiasts looking for exceptional driving dynamics.
More power and fine-tuning of aerodynamics contribute to increased driving dynamics and faster time on the track.
At the same time, the new model offers the same advantages as the other members of the AMG GT family. Based on customer requests for improved everyday usability compared to the previous series, the second-generation AMG GT offers a generous sense of space and good all-round visibility. It is optionally available with 2+2 seats.
High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, rear axle steering as standard, and active aerodynamics also sharpen the driving profile. In addition, the sports coupe puts its power on the road with the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
The 612 hp AMG 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine here has 27 hp more than in the AMG GT63, and the engine experts in Affalterbach have also increased the maximum torque by 50 Nm to 850 Nm. This performance increase was achieved by adjusting the engine control unit. The AMG GT63 PRO impresses with its overall performance, especially at higher speeds. The AMG GT63 PRO accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the AMG GT63). The maximum speed is 317 km/h.
Aerodynamics experts and driving dynamics experts worked closely together here. The redesigned front end is even more dominant. It integrates additional air deflectors made of visible carbon fibre around the enlarged air intakes. An active aerodynamic profile in the lower part of the body, an active AIRPANEL air control system, and an aerodynamic package with a fixed rear wing on the trunk lid are also included as standard.
This results in even more precise steering. The AMG GT63 PRO also has additional air deflectors on the lower part, similar to those on the Mercedes-AMG ONE.
The standard AMG high-performance ceramic composite brake system is equipped with 420-millimeter brake discs on the front axle. These are currently the largest standard ceramic brake discs available from Mercedes-AMG. The lightweight AMG Performance 21-inch wheels are painted exclusively in Himalaya grey matte.
