Stretched Yangwang U8L SUV with 24K Gold Badges and “God’s Eye A” debuts at the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2025.

Based on the U8 Premium Edition, U8L features a stretched wheelbase that grows by 200mm to 3250mm, new six-seat configuration.

Like the base U8 Premium Edition, the U8L can do 360-degree tank turn as well as drive on water under emergency scenarios.





The Yangwang U8L, the stretched variant of the already impressive U8 ultra-luxury SUV from BYD’s luxury brand, has made its public debut at the ongoing 21st Auto Shanghai 2025, officially known as the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition.

Based on the U8 Premium Edition, the U8L features a stretched wheelbase that grows by 200mm to 3250mm, a new six-seat configuration and an enhanced luxury appointments.

While the U8L retains the U8’s distinctive front fascia, it introduces a new two-tone “Obsidian Black/ Sunstone Gold” paint scheme and an optional front and rear Yangwang badges crafted from 24K gold.





At the rear, the U8L ditches the externally mounted spare tyre found on the standard U8. The U8L rides on new 23-inch, eight-hole forged alloy wheels designed for both luxury aesthetics and reduced aerodynamic drag.

Like the base U8 Premium Edition, the U8L features unique capabilities such as 360-degree tank turn, stable driving even with a punctured tire as well ability to wade and drive on water under emergency scenarios.

In addition, the U8L features the “God’s Eye A” (DiPilot 300) advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that supports functions such as Highway and Urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), automated parking and remote parking.

Pricing details for the stretched U8L have not yet been announced by YangWang, but the U8 Premium Edition, which entered the Chinese market in October 2023, is priced from 1.098 million yuan ($150,800). The U8L is expected to go on sale in China later this year, according to Car News China.
