A Porsche 911 Of 3 Years Now Costs Almost $100,000 More Than It Did In 2019
The Porsche 911 is famous for holding its value better than most cars, but new data shows a surprising shift. While three-year-old models now cost nearly $100,000 more than they did in 2019, the latest 992 generation is finally beginning to depreciate like a normal vehicle.
Recent data from iSeeCars highlights the significant shift in Porsche 911 market values since 2019, revealing that the average three-year-old model now commands nearly $100,000 more than it did prior to the pandemic. Despite this substantial appreciation, there is a notable development: the latest 992 generation is finally beginning to exhibit a more conventional depreciation trajectory.
iSeeCars data shows the average price of a three-year-old Porsche 911 surged 74% from 2019 to 2026, rising from $97,904 to $230,273. This appreciation is unprecedented, leaving three-year-old models significantly more expensive than a brand-new base Carrera ($135,500).
Porsche’s focus on high-performance, limited-production variants drives much of this price surge. The 911 Carrera T Club Coupe, for instance, starts at $185,000 but can exceed $205,000 with options. Exclusive models like the GT3, Turbo, Dakar, and bespoke Sonderwunsch creations further inflate average market prices.
Despite significant appreciation since 2019, the latest 992 Porsche 911 is finally beginning to follow a conventional depreciation curve. While it remains a strong investment, the era of newer models defying market trends appears to be ending.
