Mercedes-S-Class

This wild looking Sports Utility Vehicle is not a new model from German automaker, Mercedes-Benz. The All-terrain SUV is simply a luxurious W140-generation Mercedes S-Class sitting on an off-roader chassis.

Specially designed to beat the very harsh Russian weather, the SUV now features a massive front and rear bull bar, a double-pane window glazing and power-assisted closing for doors, electric windows and rear-parking markers.

Powering this Three-Pointed Star badge monster truck is a 5.0-liter engine, pumping out the strength of over 320 horses and 479 Nm of torque. This engine gives this tank a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Mercedes S-Class still has 6,200 miles (10,000 km) on the odometer. It is currently for sale for the equivalent of $77,621 or about ₦28 million, if you prefer it to the iconic G-Wagon.

For comparison, the all-new boxy-shaped Mercedes Benz G-wagon starts at ₦47.1 million ($130,532), excluding destination and clearing cost in Nigeria. It is powered by a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine that produces 416 hp ( the AMG G 63 version gets 577 hp ) and a zero to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.

This wild Mercedes S-Class on steroids shows SUVs and expensive off-roaders like G-Wagons and Hummers a thing or two.

We’ve also seen the Russians replace the Bentley Continental GT’s wheels with tank-like tracks to create a formidable machine they call the ‘Ultratank’.

The Ultratank, which many believed to be the most luxurious tank on the Planet, is able handle steep grades and off-road driving.
