Adventure-ready Nissan Ariya EV On 39-Inch Tyres Set To Drive From Earth’s North Pole To South Pole
A wild adventure-ready 2023 Nissan Ariya EV on 39-inch tyres set to drive from Earth’s North Pole to the South Pole.
Upgraded Ariya electric SUV will undertake a 27,000-km trip from the Earth’s magnetic North Pole to the South Pole.
Modifications done to the Ariya SUV includes upgraded suspension, a wider fenders, and the addition of 39-inch tyres.
No changes was made to the Ariya’s 90 kWh battery pack and the dual-motor setup that is paired with the e-4ORCE all-wheel-control tech.
Husband-and-wife team of Chris and Julie Ramsey will take on world-first electric adventure to showcase EV’s capability.
Japanese car brand Nissan and the Pole to Pole expedition team has unveiled an adventure-ready version of the new Ariya electric SUV that is set to undertake a 27,000-km (16,777-mile) trip from the Earth’s magnetic North Pole to the South Pole.
Nissan design and engineering teams teamed up with Arctic Trucks, a specialists in polar expedition vehicles, to create the off-roading all-electric vehicles that will be driven from Pole to Pole by the husband-and-wife team of Chris and Julie Ramsey.

Modifications done to the car includes upgraded suspension, a wider fenders, and the addition of 39-inch BF Goodrich tyres. The design team made no changes to the Ariya’s 90 kWh battery pack and the dual-motor setup that is paired with the e-4ORCE all-wheel-control tech.
During this epic adventure aiming to kick off this March, these modifications will allow the Ariya electric SUV to cope with extreme terrains and environments, including ice fields, deep snow, steep mountain climbs and inhospitable desert dunes.
Chris Ramsey, Pole to Pole EV Expedition Leader, said :

Julie Ramsey, co-driver on Pole to Pole, also commented:
“The planning and preparation for Pole to Pole has been such a big part of our lives over the past four years so I am really looking forward to getting the expedition underway in March.
“We are doing something that has never been attempted before, a world-first, and ultimately that is what makes it so exciting.”
