Audi’s new electric vehicle (EV) series for the Chinese market won’t have its signature four-ring logo, sources told Reuters.
The move reflects the use of EV platform and advanced technologies from Chinese companies.

Audi Electric Vehicles currently sold in China will continue to have the German brand’s four-interlocking ring logo.
Chinese-made Audis includes Q4 e-tron made with joint venture partner FAW and the Q5 e-tron SUV made with SAIC.
An upcoming Made-in-China Audi electric cars series for the Chinese market will not have the premium marque’s iconic four-ring logo, two people with direct knowledge of the plans has told Reuters.
Per Reuters report, the decision is due to “brand image consideration,” which reflects the use of electrical architecture of SAIC’s EV brand, IM Motors, and CATL battery and an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) from Chinese tech startup, Momenta.
