Nigeria Police Honours 3 Officers Who Assisted A Woman To Fix Her Punctured Car Tyre

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has honoured three officers with the Oyo State Police Command’s Swift Respond Squad who assisted a woman to fix her punctured car tyre along the Iseyin- Ibadan expressway.

This was made known on Monday in a statement by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday.





The officers honoured are ASP Tunmise Adedire, Inspr Dauda Nuhu, and Inspr Isaac Omoniwa of the Oyo State Police Command’s Swift Respond Squad, under the watch of CSP Femi Okunowo.

Julius Berger Truck Damages Truck Barrier At Ojuelegba Hours After Repair, Driver Arrested

A truck belonging Construction giant Julius Berger Nigerian on Tuesday morning October 3rd damaged a newly erected truck barrier at the Ojuelegba bridge inward Fadeyi, Lagos.

This comes few hours after the route was reopened to traffic following traffic diversion on the night of Monday, 2nd October to repair the one recently damaged by articulated truck.

A statement by Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), confirmed that the driver of the Julius Berger trailer was arrested by officials of the Agency and handed over to Area ‘C’ Police Station at Ojuelegba.

Lagos Blue Line Rail Makes 350 Trips, Ferries Over 75,000 Passengers In One Month

The Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line system has now made over 350 trips and ferried over 75,000 Passengers across its routes since the commencement of train services exactly a month ago.





While celebrating this accident-free milestone, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was the first passenger at the iconic Marina Station of the Blue Line Rail, said :

“Dear Lagosians, the #BlueLineRail system commenced it’s commercial service exactly 1 month ago. Today after over 350 trips, with Zero incident, we have moved over 75,000 people from their homes, to their schools, workplaces, businesses and back home to their families and loved ones”.

FG Aims To Convert 10 Million Petrol-powered Vehicles To Use Gas In 3 Years

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to convert 10 million vehicles powered by Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to run on eco-friendly Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the next 36 months.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, announced this at a panel tagged “Energy Talk” during ADIPEC 2023 conference and exhibition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

According to the Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), the initiative was in partnership with the private sector.

“Our ministry is working with the organised private sector to roll out over two million CNG conversions kits for free within the next nine months to push the utilisation of CNG as main fuel for vehicles nationwide. This initiative is aimed at converting 10million vehicles from PMS to CNG in the next 36 months,” he said.
